As we come to your resting place, it saddens us to think that you are no longer with us. We know that our lives will never be the same again without you. Yet, we know that you are happy wherever you are, and we will be together one day.

Mummy

Barbara Mar 8, 2021

Hello Mama

Thomas Mar 6, 2021

Mama, you have been a role model for me and have had significant influence on my life. I am still trying to comprehend how great you are and what you meant to all the people who knew you personally. Your loving care was phenomenal and without pair. Your moral support and encouragement made me to whom I am today. I miss you deeply, but all is well.
I love you 💓

Her name is Klara Asemota

Evelyn March 8, 2021

Mummy wasn't a "church person". But she attended church occasionally. I could talk to her about Jesus in those days and she would say "Evelyn, how could you ever think that only Christians would go to heaven?" I was glad to hear her talk about Jesus when I visited her in 2018. I am so sure God had mercy on her soul. When Barbara called me that fateful morning of March 1, 2021 to inform me of mom's death, she had told me that mummy died with a peaceful smile on her face. I was glad. I thank God for mummy's life and His mercy on her. Someday, we shall meet at the bosom of our Lord, Jesus, to part no more.
Fare thee well, Mummy Asemota.
Thank you for being such a blessing to all of us who came your way.
I love you

Until we meet Again

Your Sister-in-law March 8, 2021

A light from my life has gone
A voice I loved is still
A place is vacant within my heart
Which never can be filled.
A bouquet of beautiful memories
Sprayed with a million tears
I wish that God could have spared you
If just for a few more years.
I hold you close within my heart,
And there you will remain
To walk with me throughout my life Until we meet Again.
So rest in peace dear loved one
And thanks for all you have done
I pray that God has given you
The crown you have truly won.
Your vacant place
No one can fill
I miss you now
And always will.
Like an eternal flame
Your Memory will live in my heart forever.

Rest in peace mummy, still can't forget how you took care of my grandmother, your sis in-law. You two were very close. I don't even know how she will feel when she hears of your demise. Thanks so much for all you did for all of us.
It's so sad to even think that you are forever gone.

Unique Mother

C. Onwuzurike March 8, 2021

She was a unique mother - loving, caring and supportive. A woman of immense compassion and understanding. welcoming to all, be you foe or friend. She evidently left her foot on the sands of time and we will miss her dearly.
May she rest in peace.

My first friend in Nigeria!

Anonymous March 8, 2021

IIt was very reassuring meeting my country woman when we first moved to Benin, Nigeria in 1976. Both our husbands were from Benin, friends from childhood, we both had two kids of similar age. I learned so much from you who had been there for some time before us, how to cope with the new environment, incl. water shortages, electricity outage, cultural differences – it was great, having somebody from my own background to compare notes with. You were always ready to help, my only friend then!
I am grateful to have had you in my life dear Klara!

Rest well in perfect peace my friend, until we meet again

Great role model

Therese March 8, 2021

Thank you very much for entrusting me with this wonderful curriculum vitae, including the letter from your brother to your mother. Soooo beautiful! I have to read it over and over and I cry every time. Your mother is a great role model for all of humanity! .... how she was and what she did for all of her neighbors! And so humble. You couldn't have described it better. Soo beautiful! The gap it leaves is so big ....
I understand that the pain of parting is so great for all of you.
The grave is also so beautiful with all the flowers.
May she be well now where she is!

A Eulogy on Mummy Asemota

Dr. Evelyn Umemezia March 5, 2021

Mummy was a faithful, dotting wife and mother. How she loved her husband and was dedicated to him! She would cook, wash, get people to iron all the clothes! Daddy lived like a king! For a white woman, mummy was homely. She was everywhere. She loved Nigeria. Perhaps because of her husband. Even when other white women married to Nigerians were leaving for one reason or the other, mummy stayed on. She would gladly have died and be buried here. But the ailment that led to her death ensured that that decision was not hers to make. On Monday, 8 March, 2021, mummy will be buried in Switzerland, her birthplace and I won't be there! This eulogy is spontaneous. I can't help doing this. It is the least I can do for a woman who poured herself out for those who crossed her way.
Fare thee well, Mummy Asemota. Thank you for being such a blessing to all of us who came your way.
I love you.

Tribute to a dear sister

Oghogho Ayanru March 3, 2021

Klara you were a dear and loving sister to me,more than a brother's wife. You were a true and sincere friend. A friend that sticks closer than a brother.
You were greatly loved, you would be greatly missed. May your soul rest in peace.

Mother Teresa of Nigeria

Anonymous March 2, 2021

Mutti is the Mother Teresa of Nigeria, an angel of God, who brought joy, peace, love and happiness to those who encountered her, even at her expense. To live in the hearts of those you love and who love you in return is not to die. So Mutti lives in my 💓 heart and that of Iyen.
May her kind and gentle soul rest in the bosom of God.

Tribute to Aunty Klara

Tribute to a very adorable woman

P. Anunah Esq March 2, 2021

I did not know you until I became very close to your husband Mr Tommy Asemota who I always regard as my senior brother. On meeting and associating with you I began to wonder about the kind of woman you were. A switz lady from a good background who decided to stay in our kind of country ( Nigeria) very happily, comfortably and indeed motherly and friendly with everyone who came around or across you. You became a mother to every child who entered your house or office. My children were not left out of your motherly care. You were the love of your husband's heart and you stood strong behind him taking care of your home, the children and the factory. To the Asemota nuclear family you made all comfortable and relaxed in all situations. You were the strength of your husband, my valuable friend and adviser. I can not say all in this small space but I know that we all will miss you and you will remain evergreen in our hearts. Adieu Mutti.
May God receive your loving soul in his bosom.
REST IN PERFECT PEACE.

Tribute to a woman with heart of Gold

Bola and family March 1, 2021

Mummy, when the news of your death broke out I was devastated, I cried and cried and cried but when I remember the life you lived, I wiped away my tears! Mummy you are a woman of inestimable value, you loved and cared for everyone you came across unconditionally, you put a smile on faces of many especially the less privileged ones and the needies including my humble self and siblings, you allowed God to use you in building the Destiny of many! You were selfless, you were a typical example of a virtuous woman in the book of Proverbs 31 vs 10--31. On behalf of my family.
I say mummy, we love you but Jesus loves you more, goodnight mummy rest in peace in the Bosom of our Lord until the resurrection morning.
